Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with experience in L2/L3 support to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java Microservices, Spring Boot, and cloud infrastructure with a focus on application support, incident management, and automation. The role will require you to work in a collaborative environment, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and manage critical incidents while optimizing system performance.
Required:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Java development and L2/L3 Support.
- Proven expertise in Java Microservices and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Incident Management, including identifying and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly with log monitoring and troubleshooting in a cloud environment.
- Experience with GITLAB for deployment and version control.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Good understanding of Change Management and governance procedures.
- Knowledge of automation tools and techniques for process improvement.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and after office hours as required.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work on Java Microservices development and ensure high availability, scalability, and performance using Spring Boot.
- Develop and deploy Java-based applications in a cloud environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement fixes and resolve incidents in production environments.
- Manage and respond to support calls, taking ownership of critical incidents, and ensuring timely resolution.
- Experience in deploying fixes to production using GIT LAB.
- Implement changes following strict governance policies through Change Records and SCR/TCR processes.
- Monitor application logs in a cloud environment and perform troubleshooting.
- Perform start/stop services and deploy patches/updates to production using GITLAB.
- Identify and resolve cloud infrastructure-related issues.
- Implement strategies to prevent system failures, identify potential risks, and optimize system performance.
- Conduct regular system health checks and ensure the applications run efficiently and reliably.
- Automate daily routine activities and tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Be flexible to work in UK shifts and support releases during weekends, after-office hours on weekdays, and provide on-call support as needed.
