Job Title : Java Developer (with GCP experience).

Role Overview :

As a Java Developer with GCP experience, you will be responsible for developing high-quality, cloud-based applications using Java and Google Cloud services.

You will leverage your expertise in both Java programming and GCP to build, deploy, and maintain scalable applications in the cloud.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions, improve performance, and ensure cloud-native architecture best practices are followed.

Key Responsibilities :

Java Application Development :

- Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications that are optimized for cloud environments.

- Work with Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring Boot, Hibernate, and others to develop scalable backend services.

- Implement and maintain RESTful APIs for integration with various systems and services.

Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Integration :

- Leverage GCP services such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud Pub/Sub, BigQuery, etc., to build and deploy cloud-native applications.

- Implement solutions using GCP best practices for scalability, security, and performance.

- Work on serverless architectures, microservices, and containerization with Docker and GKE.

Cloud-Native Development :

- Design and build cloud-native applications that leverage GCP's managed services and infrastructure.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment to GCP.

- Ensure applications are optimized for GCP and adhere to cloud best practices (e., scaling, monitoring, cost-efficiency).

Database Integration :

- Develop and optimize database solutions using GCP services like Cloud SQL, Firestore, and BigQuery.

- Write efficient SQL queries and work with both relational and NoSQL databases in the cloud.

Code Quality & Testing :

- Implement unit tests, integration tests, and participate in code reviews to ensure the highest quality code is being written.

- Work with CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, deployments, and testing.

Collaboration and Agile Practices :

- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design and deliver complete end-to-end solutions.

- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives as part of an agile team.

Required Qualifications :

- 3+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, etc.

- 4-8 years of experience in Java development, including experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, and related technologies.

- Solid understanding of cloud-native application development, including microservices, serverless, and containerization.

- Strong experience with RESTful API design and implementation.

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e., Cloud SQL, Firestore, BigQuery).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

- Knowledge of cloud architecture best practices including security, scalability, and cost management.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize applications for performance and cost-efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Developer or related certification.

- Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE).

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.

- Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions on GCP (Stackdriver, Prometheus, etc.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
