National Pathology Head
Job Description:
- Provide technical support to operations, sales, marketing, and project teams to achieve assigned business targets.
- Research and implement advancements in pathology, including digital pathology, point-of-care testing (POCT), advanced diagnostics, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and therapeutic diagnostics.
- Oversee end-to-end Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) operations, including test creation, module integration, troubleshooting, and data analytics.
- Manage technical complaints in coordination with Zonal Technical Coordinators (ZTCs) and maintain CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) documentation.
- Ensure compliance with NABL, CAP, and other regulatory standards through SOP creation and periodic review.
- Lead initiatives for minimal technician and consultant attrition through effective team engagement and training.
Collaboration with Business:
- Deliver scientific training to the sales team on test methodologies and associated anatomy and physiology.
- Support marketing teams by validating promotional packages, developing technical collaterals, and ensuring scientific accuracy in communications.
- Collaborate with procurement for selecting IVD platforms and monitoring lab supplier quality.
- Work with Path lab leadership to select appropriate referral labs and monitor their service quality.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with partner hospitals, regional lab managers, and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment and problem resolution.
Driving Growth in Technical Vertical:
- Expand the advanced diagnostics portfolio by launching new tests and services in genomics, clinical trials, and therapeutic diagnostics.
- Strengthen KOL (Key Opinion Leader) relationships and conduct CMEs, RTMs, and FGDs to enhance service outreach.
- Publish monthly technical MIS reports and newsletters featuring advancements in pathology and diagnostic updates.
- Develop training content for internal teams and clinicians to enhance technical expertise and operational excellence.
- Plan and direct research and development initiatives aligned with business goals.
New Initiatives:
- Drive scientific and technical initiatives to enhance capabilities in advanced diagnostics and pathology.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to expand test menus and diagnostic capabilities across networks.
- Publish detailed status reports and ensure smoother launches of new diagnostic networks.
Technical Requirements:
- Expertise in advanced diagnostic techniques, including genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and point-of-care technologies.
- Proficiency in LIMS operations, technical complaint resolution, and CAPA documentation.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards like NABL and CAP.
- Experience with scientific communication, technical marketing, and KOL management.
- This role demands strong leadership, innovation, and technical skills to drive excellence in pathology and diagnostics while fostering collaboration across teams to achieve business growth.
