Mechanical Design Engineer/Manager

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Responsible for driving new product development projects;

2. Responsible for 2D and 3D and assembly of pneumatic and hydraulic tools rock drills, breakers, pick hammers, parts etc.

3. Responsible for 2D and 3D and assembly of pneumatic and hydraulic drill rigs and excavator attachments;

4. To perform full cycle of product design starting design from reverse engineering and ending with stage plan drawings and assembly drawings;

5. Responsible for continuous improvement projects on existing product line;

6. Responsible for streamlining activities of the drawing & design department;

7. Responsible for proper documentation & control.

11.Diploma/ B.Tech. / B.S. / B.Sc. / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

12.At least 5 years hands-on experience in AutoCAD & Solidworks for 3D & 2D drawings.

13.Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD is mandatory.

14. Hands on exposure to any ERP system

15. Good team management skills

16. Ability to interpret engineering / manufacturing drawings

17. Documentation and control preparations

18. At least 5 years’ experience with various manufacturing processes including CNC, VMC, HMC, gun drilling, grinding, broaching, heat treatment, assembly

19. Experience of CNC, VMC, HMC toolings & fixtures is an added advantage

20. Working knowledge of machining tolerances

21. Working knowledge of metal alloys materials and their properties

22.Concept knowledge on DFMA - design for manufacturing and assembly, design for quality,
design for serviceability

23.Knowledge on optimization approaches and validation process

24.Knowledge on ISO norms

25.Willing to be based out of / relocate to Kolkata/Howrah, West Bengal
