Introduction.

This position acts as in-house technical support for the DMO Quote and Order Management Team and Distribution.

This position performs necessary functions to ensure customer satisfaction with Aftermarket Parts orders.

Primary activities include technical support, technical clarifications, product definition, and guidance to Metso customers, distributors, and internal team-members.

Investigative work supports customersinquiries, proposals and orders.

This position also trains other Metso team members as requested.

We work closely with internal & external stakeholders, such as Aggregate customers with whom you collaborate with.

What Youll Do.

Demonstrates dependability and punctuality.

Observes safety regulations and exhibits a concern for safety.

Provides technical support for agreed upon Metso supported equipment parts including product definition, application and any necessary investigation to provide best solution for customer requirements.

Acts as first line of defence for customer/distributor technical requirements supporting directly or indirectly (through Metso team-members).

Shows commitment to quality ethics and focuses on meeting the needs and expectation of both the internal and external customers.

Provides excellent response to end users and internal team-members when searching for products, defining products to be quoted and supporting requests for product and technical information.

Establishes and maintains a good company image by providing exceptional technical support service, a professional attitude and up-to-date product knowledge.

Demonstrates cooperative team effort with other Technical Support Groups.

Position requires excellent customer relation skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a very fast paced environment.

Navigates internal storage locations and repositories of drawings for answers.

Records requests in an online log to track response time and quality of response, and to use as reference for research.

Domestic travel may be required as needed.

Performs other duties and/or other special projects as required.

Develops and train other Metso team-members as required by immediate supervisor.

Visits customers in cooperation with sales team in order to support/improve good customer relationship.

Who You Are.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Support or similar role with end users/distributors.

5 years plus experience in mining, industrial or construction industry.

Mechanical aptitude ability to read and understand drawings.

Previous knowledge in technical database environment.

Ability to handle customers inquiries for technical questions and find solutions independently as well as in cooperation with other department supports.

SAP experience preferred (SD and MM modules).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to train other people in his/her field of expertise.

Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and possess a strong mechanical aptitude.

Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks and working in a fast paced environment.

Skills need to include building and managing internal relationships, negotiation skills and understanding of customer needs and market requirements.

Ability to travel overnight +/-10%.

Familiarity with the broad range of Aggregate and Construction equipment / products with specialty in the Crushing and Screening area.

Familiarity with the broad range of Aggregate equipment / products from Metso.

Organizational and planning skills.

People skills including the ability to communicate with customers effectively.

Listening to and understanding customers requirements.

High sense of urgency and the ability to develop action plans and meet deadlines.

Understanding of sales processes to include quotations, orders, and sales order management.
