Job Overview :
We are seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Cybersecurity to lead and enhance our cybersecurity strategy, governance, and risk management framework. The VP will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing robust security programs to safeguard the organizations digital assets, infrastructure, and data across global operations. This role requires a strategic leader with deep technical expertise, strong business acumen, and the ability to collaborate with executive leadership and industry partners to mitigate security risks effectively.
Experience : 20 to 35 Years
Key Responsibilities :
1. Cybersecurity Strategy & Governance :
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, and frameworks to ensure robust security postures across all operations.
- Lead security governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with global regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate cyber risk management into the overall business strategy.
2. Risk Management & Compliance
- Oversee enterprise-wide risk assessments and implement proactive measures to mitigate potential threats.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and other relevant frameworks.
- Establish incident management processes to address vulnerabilities, audits, and security threats effectively.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to manage cybersecurity regulatory requirements and audits.
3. Security Operations & Technology Leadership
- Direct and enhance security operations, including cloud security, network security, endpoint security, and identity & access management (IAM).
- Oversee security infrastructure, tools, and emerging cybersecurity technologies to ensure robust protection of enterprise systems.
- Lead initiatives to modernize cybersecurity architecture, leveraging automation, AI-driven security, and Zero Trust frameworks.
- Drive innovation in security technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and threat detection platforms.
4. Threat Intelligence, Incident Response & Crisis Management
- Lead the global threat intelligence program, ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of cybersecurity threats.
- Develop and oversee incident response protocols, ensuring rapid detection, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Conduct tabletop exercises, penetration testing, and security drills to enhance the organizations resilience against cyber threats.
- Serve as the executive lead for cyber crisis management and forensic investigations.
5. Strategic Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and lead a high-performing cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Drive the recruitment, training, and development of cybersecurity professionals across various functions.
- Establish mentorship and upskilling programs to enhance team capabilities in emerging security domains.
- Advocate for cybersecurity awareness across the organization through executive training and security best practices.
6. Leadership, Stakeholder Engagement & Industry Representation
- Engage with board members, senior executives, and key stakeholders to communicate cybersecurity risks and strategies.
- Represent the organization in industry forums, government advisory groups, and cybersecurity consortiums.
- Collaborate with external partners, vendors, and industry leaders to drive innovation and thought leadership in cybersecurity.
Key Qualifications & Experience :
- 20+ years of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and information security leadership roles.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale security programs at an enterprise or global level.
- Minimum 4 years of tenure in each previous organization, demonstrating stability and long-term impact in security leadership roles.
- Deep knowledge of cyber risk management, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Hands-on expertise in cloud security, threat intelligence, incident response, and emerging cybersecurity technologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage C-suite executives.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCISO are highly desirable.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
