Marsh McLennan is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Noida/Gurgaon office.

Engineer - Database Administration

What can you expect:

This is a Production Support task requiring 24*7 database support. Ensure high levels of data availability; stabilize critical/deteriorating situations & work toward permanent self-sufficiency, while maintaining SLA. Encourage scientific/data driven approach to identify improvement opportunities. Responsible for developing & implementing database policies to ensure integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software. This will require support US Daytime Shift (India Night Shift) on rotation and also Weekend On call.

Daily operations responsibilities include handling and serving as the team member on the following items/activities:

• Monitoring system alerts and errors and resolve issues
• Performing daily database checks
• Controlling and monitoring user access/Grants to the database
• Managing password change and troubleshooting Issues
• Code extract from database
• Support Users in Deployment in Dev/QA/Prod
• Knowledge of Backup and restores
• Monitoring database usage.
• Troubleshooting database and Alerts.
• Participation in Patching

What you need to have:

• A minimum of 1 year hands-on experience with any database technology.
• Ability to work independently and as a team on multiple tasks and commitment to deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with team members and senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and will to be able to drill down into the issues.
• Results-focused, analytical approach with a strong customer / client service ethos.
