,JobDescription:[The incumbent collaborates with the business venture to ensure that product development serves as a key game-changer for the business, leading among others to transformation and digital enablement for the end customer
The aim is to help the business venture identify new avenues for growth, enable rich inspiring experiences which deliver solutions for customer needs well-beyond just individual product benefits
The role will require an inter-play of Design, strategy
technology and innovation
Engage with potential innovators to understand the technologies, evaluate the current status and further timeline needed to reach to commercialisation, examine risks and potential to succeed, evaluate the end applications and potential addressable market size and play key role in developing the business case for investment committee
Monitor the stage gating process of evaluation and engagement with new innovationsWork closely with innovators to monitor progress to ensure the product development goals are met in terms of product performance KPIs, budgets and timelines
Partner in a consultative manner with product architects, development leads, project managers other stakeholders in the business venture to define product vision, strategy, development plans and detailed roadmap
Evaluate the engineering or technology organisation and processes and act as change agent to ensure the know how is protected, documented and kept updated and that the know how is with the organisation and not personalised
Carry out SWOT analysis or gap analysis to identify possible opportunities for new products or existing product improvements in consultation with respective sales and marketing teams and monitor till execution
Analyse competitors products and explore new ways to improve/ augment the product portfolio of the concerned business venture
Help put a product marketing plan in place to generate revenues
Run ideation sessions with sponsors and SMEs in the business venture to develop solutions for product requirements implement them through the product/ technology teams with end result responsibilities
Translate products strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and ensure its development and sign off
Lead Proof of Concept
Provide inputs on technical robustness and scalability of the product
Co-ordinate product releases with marketing, sales, and engineering teams in the business venture set up
Ensure communication is timely, engaging relevant
Address bottlenecks, anticipate and make trade-offs
Balance the business needs with technical constraints to maximize business outcomes
Engage with end customers and business venture partners on co-solutioning efforts drive product adoption
Foster innovation, leverage new technologies and champion impactful change bringing value to the business venture
Help the business venture build its product development/ management capabilities and processes to institutionalise the product development function with market orientation
Assist with inputs on the Product/ Tech structure, roles responsibilities, training, KPIs among others
Create and publish various reports and keep all stakeholders updated with relevant information
Specifically track and assess the ROI on product portfolio
Recruit, induct, appraise and work seamlessly with Consultants who are onboarded from time to time ensuring smooth delivery of the project within scope, timelines and budgets
