Lead Analyst

Responsibilities: Domain Expertise Cloud / Cloud Infrastructure

▪ Technical Knowledge: Possess a detailed understanding of various cloud deployment models, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, and the unique characteristics and differentiators of each.

▪ Cloud Migration Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of cloud migration architectures, techniques, and supporting technologies.

▪ Vendor Landscape: Maintain a strong understanding of key cloud infrastructure vendors across the value chain—covering technology providers, platform enablers, software providers, storage solutions, and other critical components—and stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud infrastructure.

▪ Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, growth drivers, challenges, and competitive dynamics within the cloud infrastructure space.

▪ Customer Insights: Assess unmet needs, preferences, and purchasing behaviors among customers in the cloud infrastructure market.

▪ Market Modeling: Develop and apply market sizing models, making necessary assumptions for market segmentation, forecasting, and analysis.

▪ Primary Research: Participate in vendor briefings, document key insights, and conduct primary interviews to gather industry intelligence.

▪ Reporting: Prepare comprehensive research reports and presentations on various aspects of the cloud infrastructure market, grounded in data from market models and analysis.

▪ Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance research environment.

▪ Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with industry experts, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance industry insights.

▪ Organizational & Project Management Skills: Exhibit strong organizational, team management, time management, and project management skills.

▪ Collaboration: Work closely with delivery stakeholders to ensure all client commitments are met.

Experience & Skills

▪ Experience: 7-10+ years in a research or consulting role within the TMT or IT Hardware sectors.

▪ Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; an MBA is preferred.

▪ Team Management: Proven experience in managing and mentoring teams.

▪ Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with forecasting, market research, analytics, competitive intelligence, market forecasting, report creation, thought leadership publications, corporate strategy, project management/planning, consulting, and strategic advisory.

▪ Work Environment: Demonstrated success in fast-paced environments, ideally within research, consulting, or marketing/strategy roles.

▪ Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation abilities, with a track record of communicating complex ideas effectively.

▪ Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.

▪ Multi-Project Management: Capable of working across multiple industries and projects concurrently, consistently delivering high-quality results.
