Purpose:
The main objective of this position to develop safe working culture and drive the team towards operational excellency by meeting the budget plans (Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Moral of Employees) by efficiently utilizing the resources.
Ensure the MCG PPD Values are inculcated in team and develop team working culture.
100% compliance and ensure no deviation with process and law of the land and also develop sense of responsibility towards own process.
Develop good interpersonal relations with Local Authorities, Administration, Industrial Associations, suppliers and customers.
Oversee the project activities by actively participating, supporting, guiding and ensuring time schedules are maintained and timely completion work.
Educate to inculcate the philosophy of KAITEKI The well-being of people and the planet.
Key Accountabilities: -
Operations Management:
- Accountable for productivity performance of the plant against the budget by ensuring defined
processes are followed rigorously without any deviations. (Planning, Resource Allocation and
Productivity).
- Control down time due to breakdown and develop and monitor the preventive maintenance
plan. Timely review the plan and ensure required resources are provided for effective
maintenance of Machine health condition.
- Represent MCPP India as Factory Manager for statutory authorities like Factories, Safety,
environment, labour and tax under various acts applicable to industry and responsible for
compliance of the same as defined.
- Manpower Planning and allocation of Human Resources to each department and assessment
of performance of each department and report to top management for necessary further
actions.
- Monitor security arrangement and suggest plant HR & Administration team for effective Man
management and discipline at plant and initiate the action against the culprits causing the
considerable hinderance to facility and operations of business.
Finance and Budget Management: -
- Prepare and meet annual budget for Manpower, Direct and Indirect Cost, CAPEX and Cost
reduction.
EHS & Compliance: -
- To undertake the responsibility for developing Safety work culture and ensure the compliance of
environment and related health & Hygiene at plant. Investigate and report the top Management
in case of deviation / accident. Investigate in detail and plan for counter measure.
- Ensure the corporate compliance are followed educated among the team members and
motivate the employees for escalation in case of any unusual / unfair / abnormal / suspicious
act is observed with employee or customer or supplier is observed to protect the company from
catastrophic situations.
- Develop interpersonal relations with local administrative authorities for smooth working of plant
and compliance as per the law without any deviation and participate in social initiatives by
Industrial Association for better public relations.
- Handle Audit (internal / external) by authorities / customers / internal auditors / external
auditors and report the same to Management with findings with action to take appropriate
actions to eliminate the probable future complications and corrective action if needed.
Quality Assurance & Quality Control / QMS: -
- Accountable for plant quality performance and develop the culture of quality consciousness
among the team member and educate the team about cost of poor quality.
- Accountable to address the customer complaints within the time frame defined in the work
instructions / SOP / procedures etc., by using QC tools for root cause analysis and POKAYOKE
(Full Proof Actions) against NC (In house rejection) or complaint/rejections.
Material Management: -
- Ensure timely delivery of all products / goods as per the schedule of delivery agreed with sales
team and ensure the inventories are maintained as per plan.
General Management: -
- Ensure to maintain 5`s at plant and review performance of zone leaders periodically and ensure
the closure of open points and observations.
- Responsible to guide, motivate and encourage the team to meet the organisation goals by
developing the culture of innovation, learning across functions.
These are the key tasks as currently defined. They are not listed in priority order and post holders should not place emphasis on the location of the task within the forgoing job description. From time to time the key tasks may be varied and the post holder will be expected to take on such variations within the constraints of the grade and the level of responsibility implied in it.
Additional responsibilities
- Scenario based Contingency plan to be developed and shared for approval with MCC to meet
the targeted schedule of project.
SPECIAL FEATURES: -
- Must have sound knowledge of safety practices and standards with applicable law.
- Must be firm with zero tolerance with safety in plant.
