Maintenance Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Head to oversee all maintenance activities at our corrugated box manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery, minimizing downtime, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Equipment Management

- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure all equipment, machines, and infrastructure operate at peak efficiency.

- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for machinery like automatic corrugators, die-cutters, flexo printers, FFGs, slotters, and gluing / stitching machines.

- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues.

- Ensure minimal breakdowns and quick resolution to reduce production downtime.

2. Spare Parts & Inventory Management

- Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to avoid shortages and excessive stock.

- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for procurement of quality spare parts at cost-effective prices.

- Maintain proper records of maintenance work and spare parts consumption.

3. Compliance & Safety

- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

- Comply with industry regulations and factory audit requirements related to maintenance.

- Train staff on equipment handling and safety procedures.

4. Cost Control & Budgeting

- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.

- Analyze and optimize maintenance costs by implementing energy-saving and waste-reduction initiatives.

5. Process Improvement & Automation

- Evaluate and implement new technologies and automation solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

- Work closely with the production and quality teams to identify areas of improvement.

- Introduce predictive maintenance techniques using data analysis and condition monitoring.

Key Requirements:

Education & Experience:

- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field.

- 10+ years of experience in plant maintenance, preferably in the corrugated packaging industry or a similar manufacturing environment.

- Strong understanding of corrugators, die-cutting, printing, and gluing / stitching machines.

Skills & Competencies:

- Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system maintenance.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

- Knowledge of PLC-based automation and machine calibration.

- Leadership and team management abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management software (CMMS is a plus).
