Job Description
Job Description:
•Establish, educate and implement key safety policies and concepts that will create and maintain a safe workplace at the plant.
•Rigorously monitor the plant safety processes to ensure risk reduction, injury prevention and compliance with statutory regulations
•Provide cost estimates and technical support for safety and environment related proposals, including annual budget preparation and tracking
•Execute all the pollution parameter monitoring plan as per legal requirement; maintain legal compliance and submit the returns.
•Drive safety promotional activities and develop and administer recognition systems to promote safe work performance at the site
•Partner with plant operations and the employee safety teams to drive continuous improvement in the work environment, to build a safety awareness culture, and to promote and reinforce safe behaviors
•Collect feedback to get acquainted about occupational hazards at the Plant, including job site visits to conduct safety audits on personnel, equipment and materials.
•Ensure that all the plant equipment’s and installations are safe to use and checked for maintenance regularly
•Record all accident reports digitally in a timely, complete, and accurate manner, lead investigation and develop measures to prevent recurrences
•Lead periodic review of emergency action plans in case of disastrous situations and ensure appropriate safety signs are installed all across the plant
•Liaise with the regulatory bodies to ensure all the activities in the plants are confirming to the applicable environmental laws and regulations
•Work towards effective disposal of waste material from production processes to ensure environment protection
•Be the plant liaison for Corporate EHS initiatives by the organization or any external public/private bodies
