Job Description
Job Description:
•Lead in implementation of spare sourcing strategies and procurement plans for Mechanical and other functions as per business requirement for the Plant Teams across the region
•Lead in providing procurement support to Plant Teams for critical mechanical spares
•Be a subject matter expert and assist the Procurement Head in deriving insights about dynamics of spares procurement
•Use market knowledge to minimize cost of spares and get a jump on long lead items
•Forge long term relationship with vendors to ensure cost optimization through standardized rate contracts, benchmarking and ensure timely delivery of spares
•Ensure maximum consolidation of the requirements across the region to facilitate cost optimization through economies of scale
•Liaise with User Department in Plants to resolves issues with spare procurement modules on SAP and its smooth operations
•Follow up & coordinate with suppliers/vendors and destination Plant Teams to ensure timely delivery of products
•Ensure timely availability of required Spares through effective Inventory Management and in-time procurement of spares for increasing Uptime of Plants
•Ensure compliance of spare items related to SOP, DOA and statutory Compliance for Weights, Measures and quality
•Coordinate with External and Internal Auditors to facilitate smooth conduct of Audits and timely resolution of issues/observations recorded by them
•Analyse and benchmark with competitors, the various alternate means of procurement of spares in line with the cost optimization strategies of the organization
•Update self knowledge base to cater the organization need
