We are seeking a skilled and experienced End-User Computing (EUC) Engineer to join our dynamic I&O team at McCain
You will be responsible for providing technical leadership, strategic guidance and technical expertise for personal computing hardware (Desktops, Laptops, Mobiles, Tablets) and Managed Print Services
You will evaluate and recommend the use of technical enablers and human centric products & services for McCain
This role requires strong technical expertise, industry trend, and effective communication abilities with McCain senior executives
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
End-User Device Management: Evaluate, test, deploy, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices, tablets, printers and peripherals across the organization
Operating Systems & Software Management: Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, macOS, android etc) and software applications for end-users
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to end users for hardware, software, and networking issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal downtime
Security Management: Implement security best practices, including the deployment of endpoint protection software, encryption, and patch management
Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts and automation processes to streamline device provisioning and support tasks
User Onboarding/Offboarding: Manage device provisioning, setup, and configuration for new employees, and decommissioning for exiting users
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI): Administer VDI (Windows 365) solutions and related technologies to ensure a smooth user experience
Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation for device configurations, support procedures, and troubleshooting guides
End-User Training /Upskilling: Provide training and assistance to end users on new technologies, systems, and processes
Also, coaching/mentor regional tech specialists on the end user devices
Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor end-user devices to ensure proper performance, troubleshoot any issues, and perform proactive maintenance
Drive continuous improvements
Vendor Management: Liaision with equipment vendors and service providers to procure necessary hardware, software, and services
Manages vendor relationships, and ensures that deliverables meet quality standards
Emerging Technology: Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in EUC technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance the organizations digital workplace environment
KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:
Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
10+ years of IT experience in 5+ years of experience in EUC Engineering role in any global organization
In-depth knowledge of modern PCs, mobiles, Tablets, operating systems (Windows, macOS, android) and device management tools
Hands-on experience with endpoint security, patch management, mobile device management (MDM)
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and provide support in a clear and concise manner
Experience with Microsoft 365 and other enterprise productivity tools
Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools and processes, such as ticketing systems and incident management and request fulfillment procedures
