Job Description

Job Purpose.

Responsible for managing the upkeep of the properties and also overseeing the housekeeping staff, and ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are kept clean, presentable confirming consistent quality and service standards across all locations..

Key Accountabilities.

Strategic Planning.

Develop and maintain all Housekeeping department control procedures and SOPs.

Ensure proper utilization of the budget and budget control for the department.

Maintain strategic relationships with suppliers for price negotiations and control of inventory.

Operational Leadership.

Develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures to enhance efficiency of Housekeeping personnel.

Ensure timely closure of all Housekeeping related inquiries and timely follow-up on the same.

Ensure that rooms, common areas, front office, parking, recreational areas, gardens are maintained as per MAYFAIR standards.

Prepare reports for management information..

Assist the Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping.

Develop and utilize procedure for regular preventative maintenance.

Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and protocols.

Define procedure to minimise wastage of materials and energy without compromising on quality and service.

Plan and prepare the training procedure for newly recruited employees.

Audit and inspect housekeeping personal work assignment, and requisition supplies.

Plan for timely and on the job training for all housekeeping staff to ensure that customer service is of the highest quality in all Housekeeping operations..

Coordinate the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public areas with the Operations/ maintenance department.

Keep updated on industry developments related to cleaning and sanitization best practices.

Financial Management.

Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring targets are met.

Develop and implement resource and cost optimization strategies to enhance profitability.

Team Management.

Ensure hiring and training of new employees, creating work schedules, and ensuring that all staff members are following MAYFAIR Group hotel policies and.

procedures..

Lead, mentor and develop a high performance team, fostering a sense of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement culture..

Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth and encourage maximum performance and dedication..

Ensure to develop and build succession pipeline.
