About the Role :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Firmware Engineer to join our team at Matter Motor Works.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading the development of cutting-edge firmware for our state-of-the-art EV powertrain controllers.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality, reliable, and efficient firmware solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Technical Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of firmware engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Firmware Development : Own the complete firmware development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to testing and deployment.
- Design and Architecture : Develop robust and scalable firmware architectures for various EV controllers, including motor controllers, on-board chargers, and battery management systems.
- Code Development and Review : Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices and coding standards.
- Testing and Validation : Conduct rigorous testing and validation of firmware to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety.
- Problem-Solving : Identify and troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing innovative solutions.
- Collaboration : Work closely with hardware engineers, system engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and system-level performance.
- Stay Updated : Keep abreast of the latest advancements in firmware development, automotive electronics, and EV technology.
Required Qualifications :
Experience : 6-8 years of hands-on experience in firmware development for embedded systems, preferably in the automotive industry.
Technical Skills :
- Strong proficiency in C programming language
- Experience with RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems)
- Knowledge of microcontroller and microprocessor architectures
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C)
- Understanding of functional safety standards (ISO 26262)
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques

Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience in developing firmware for EV powertrain controllers

- Experience with MISRA C coding guidelines
