Matter Motors - Assistant General Manager - Android SDK (14-16 yrs)

What we are looking for :

We at Matter Motor Works are looking for a AGM SDK responsible for the development/ testing/ maintenance of applications for cluster and cluster related applications. Your primary focus will be the managing/ building team for developing applications (Android/ Linux/ iOS) and their integration with back-end services for Matter's products. You will be leading team leads, engineers and developers working on different layers of the development. Therefore, commitment to delivery, execution, collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Responsible for software architecture, software tool environment, testing environment based on the product and business needs (product, cloud, external apps etc.)

- Responsible for delivery of SDK/ apps for on/ Off the vehicles, energy storage systems and other Matter products.

- Responsible for ensuring the software meeting the desired quality through testing and QA practices.

- Derive/ ensure development processes, testing processes and release mechanisms for the software

- Responsible for deriving a technology road map for the department

- Responsible for leading the team with technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers

- Collaborating with various stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure development, testing and release of the software.

Skills and Experience :

- Proven experience in leading teams in Android/ Linux/ iOS

- Experience in Android Framework, AOSP platform architecture and related build system and similar exposure to Linux based system

- Experienced in delivery of web applications, mobile applications and open-source technologies.

- Experience in delivery of software in various languages (Java, Kotlin)

- Strong background on various programming tools, development platforms and test environments

- Experience in application development and delivery in modules like CAN, GPS, IMU, connectivity modules (WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC etc.),

- Experience with delivery of Mobile Apps (both on Android and iOS)

- Experience in implementing and adherence to software quality assurance principles

- Experience in implementation of telemetry functions for exchanging data with cloud

- A technical mindset with great attention to detail

- Organisational and leadership skills

- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

Must have :

- Experience with programming languages like Kotlin/Java

- Expert in Android concepts like Activity/Fragment lifecycle, MVVM & Repository app architecture, Android Jetpack Components, SQLite and Room etc

- Strong debugging skills

- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

- Experience with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers

- Experience with developing/integrating REST APIs.

- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS/Google Cloud, Firebase.

- Experience with CI/CD.

- Exposure to iOS app development

- Exposure in leading diverse teams

- Good oral and written communication skills

Good to have :

- Experience with programming languages like JavaScript, Python etc.

- Experience with classic Bluetooth framework

- Experience with Linux or Unix based systems.

- Experience with electronics - Arduino, NodeMCU etc
