Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Senior PowerShell Developer with 6+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining PowerShell scripts and automation solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automating systems administration tasks, improving IT workflows, and integrating various technologies using PowerShell.

Key Responsibilities :

- Script Development & Automation : Develop and maintain robust PowerShell scripts to automate manual processes and system administration tasks for enhanced efficiency.

- System Integration : Integrate PowerShell with various systems, applications, and databases for seamless data transfer and automation across diverse environments.

- Troubleshooting & Optimization : Diagnose and resolve issues with existing PowerShell scripts. Continuously improve script performance and stability.

- Configuration Management : Implement and manage configuration management tools and frameworks using PowerShell (e.g, DSC Desired State Configuration).

- System Monitoring : Develop PowerShell scripts for system health checks, monitoring, and reporting to ensure proactive system management.

- Collaboration : Work closely with DevOps, IT, and network teams to understand system requirements and automate processes across platforms.

- Documentation & Best Practices : Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes and scripts, and establish best practices for script development and deployment.

- Version Control : Utilize version control systems (e.g, Git, SVN) to manage and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation code.

- Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and colleagues in PowerShell scripting and automation best practices.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

- Experience : 6+ years of hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in a production environment.

- Scripting Expertise : Proficiency in PowerShell scripting, including advanced functions, modules, error handling, and remote management.

- Automation Frameworks : Familiarity with automation frameworks such as Desired State Configuration (DSC), PowerShell Remoting, or Azure Automation.

- Cloud Integration : Experience working with cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS and using PowerShell to manage cloud services.

- Version Control : Strong experience with Git or other version control systems.

- System Administration : Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).

- Tools & Platforms : Experience with CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell Universal, PowerShell ISE, or other PowerShell development tools.

- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex PowerShell-related issues.

- Collaboration : Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

- Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
