Senior PowerShell Developer/Automation Expert (6-10 yrs)

About the Role :

As an Endpoint Automation Engineer ( Powershell), you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and reliability of our customer's IT environments.

You will develop and deploy robust automation solutions that address a wide range of endpoint management challenges, from incident resolution to data retrieval.

Key Responsibilities :

Deep Customer Understanding : Gain a thorough understanding of our customer's specific needs and pain points related to endpoint incident and problem management, as well as data retrieval.

Automation Development : Design, develop, and implement efficient and reliable automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, or Python) to automate tasks such as :

- Incident resolution.

- Data retrieval.

- System configuration.

- Software deployment.

Cross-Platform Compatibility : Ensure that automation scripts are compatible with a diverse range of Windows and macOS endpoints, taking into account various system configurations and software versions.

Best Practice Promotion : Collaborate with the team to foster a culture of excellence, promoting best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.

Incident Resolution : Work closely with the L3 support team to identify and resolve complex technical issues, contributing to a faster and more efficient resolution process.

Autonomous Work : Take ownership of tasks and work independently to deliver high-quality solutions.

Continuous Learning : Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in endpoint management and automation.

Required Skills and Experience :

Scripting Expertise : 6+ years of hands-on experience in scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for endpoint management and system administration.

Platform Knowledge : Deep understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, including their internals (GPO, WMI, registry, APIs, Event log, WSUS, MDM, Jamf).

Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Agile Development : Experience working in agile development environments (SCRUM) and adhering to best practices.

Continuous Improvement : Passion for continuous integration and delivery, and a desire to automate testing and deployment processes.

Effective Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and customers.
