Operational Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

• Oversee daily operations of the pharmaceutical production and distribution processes.
• Ensure smooth coordination between various departments (manufacturing, quality control, supply chain, etc.) to maintain production schedules and high standards.
• Develop, implement, and refine operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall cost management.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

• Ensure all operations comply with industry regulations, such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), FDA guidelines, and other relevant standards.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure product quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.

Team Leadership & Development

• Manage and lead a team of operational staff, ensuring clear communication and efficient task delegation.
• Provide training and development opportunities for the team to ensure a high level of competency and performance.
• Foster a collaborative, positive, and proactive team environment.

Production Management

• Monitor and manage production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products.
• Identify and address production bottlenecks and resolve operational issues to avoid delays.
• Work with the supply chain team to maintain an optimal inventory of raw materials and finished products.

Cost Management & Budgeting

• Oversee operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources without compromising quality.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement best practices to achieve financial goals.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement in operational processes.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve customer satisfaction.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and present detailed operational reports to senior management on key metrics, challenges, and improvements.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping for all operational processes, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Education: Bachelors degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-8 years of experience in operations management within the pharmaceutical industry or a similar regulated environment.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and compliance regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Proven ability to drive operational efficiency and cost-saving initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and other operational management tools.
