Assistant Manager - Lean & Operational Excellence

Role Purpose:

To prioritizes and drive operational performance improvements that will have substantial impact on the business results and on delivering operational excellence, by challenging the status quo, coaching, and embedding a mindset of continuous improvement in the organization to achieve performance excellence

Role & responsibilities:

• Implement and prove out continuous improvements across the shopfloor
• Lean tools implementation.
• Ensure safe work environment through implementation of safety awareness programs.
• Introduce new procedures and processes to improve Teams productivity, morale and efficiency.
• Interpret and develop reports including standard operating procedures.
• Enforce 6s, Lean manufacturing , Kaizen / suggestion scheme, Poka-Yoke for continual improvement.
• Adherence of various systems & documentation requirements of the Company.
• Facilitating the implementation of kaizen ideas, Poka-yoke and automation in manufacturing.
• Plan and optimize the utilization levels at its best (Man, material etc) to achieve the cost.
• Motivate & coordinate with other teams like stores, purchase PPC etc. for smooth operations.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience Range : 07-12 Years
- Qualifications : DME or B.E Mechanical Engineering

- Preferred Industry : Appliances / Automobile / Engineering / Electrical / Auto Ancillary / Plastics

• Operational Excellence - Lean manufacturing / Lean Tools applications
• Lean certification / 6 Sigma certification Green belt
• Layout knowledge multiple shape layout & process flow
• SPM concepts
• Analytic and conceptual thinking
• Building collaborative relationships with stakeholders
• Handling capex / opex
• Ambitious and fostering innovation
• Results orientation approach

Key deliverables for the role:

• Focusing on productivity improvement planning/execution and E2E view of value chain efficiency & improving effectiveness.
• Maintaining Operational Excellence methodology and application of Lean tools on one or more specific areas.
• Coaching Lean Practitioners/ Experts & developing Masters by sharing, implementing and sustaining best practices across deployment sites and across sectors
• Calibrating, assessing and coaching the organization in determining Operational Excellence Maturity.
• Encouraging engagement through BG Operations & Functional leaders to ensure stakeholder buy in.
• Strives to identify and improve cost saving opportunities by streamlining processes
• Working together with site leadership to implement improvement plans across the premises
• Improving the TEI of the site through various Lean tools application & Training.
