Operations Excellence Executive - Ahmedabad Plant

Overview:

As the Lead of Operations Excellence, He/She will lead the implementation and management of best-in-class operational practices at our Ahmedabad plant. His role will be crucial in driving continuous improvement, ensuring operational efficiency, and achieving world-class performance standards. He/She will be working closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and deliver First Time Right Products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leading the OpEx Initiatives at Site :

• Ensuring the timely and robust implementation of the plant's operations excellence initiatives in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with different functions of the site to improve performances on key KPIs and monitor progress against defined targets.

2. Driving Continuous Improvement:

• Identify, design, and execute process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across all levels of the plant.
• Ensure Total Employee Involvement’ in Team based problem solving approaches like- Quality Circles, SLIM, Kaizen. Etc.
• Conduct regular reviews and provide feedback to teams to realign their efforts to meet project deadlines.
• Implement corrective actions as needed to achieve performance targets.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for improvement initiatives.
• Provide training and support to employees to facilitate the adoption of new practices and tools.

3. Ensuring Operational Efficiency:

• Analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Implement best practices in Production, Maintenance, PPC, Inventory management etc. to optimize plant performance.
• Ensure the efficient use of resources, including Manpower, Materials, and Equipment.

4. Automation and Industry 4.0:

• Identify the automations solutions/technologies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency and advising the latest technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge.
• Drive the adoption of Industry 4.0 practices, including the use of IIoT, Data analytics, and Smart manufacturing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Operations Excellence, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Operations Management within the FMCG industry, with a focus on Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other Continuous Improvement Methodologies; Certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead process improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in data analysis, and use of relevant software/tools.
• Exposure of Smart Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 practices.
