Director - US Tax

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide vision and set direction for overall Tax and compliance matters including multiple high impact initiatives to achieve long-term strategic objectives that impact the company and management across companywide functions.

- Provide strategic consultation to leaders companywide.

- Perform activities requiring subject matter expertise at mastery level in all aspects of accounting for income taxes or aspects of multi-functional areas of corporate taxation, and the Company's internal controls policies and ongoing compliance.

- Recommend compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.

- Apply a broad and deep technical expertise on income taxation to influence and provide direction to management on sensitive situations or negotiations.

- Lead implementation of complex projects or initiatives related to direct and indirect taxation

- Direct and control companywide income tax accounting, compliance, planning, internal control activities and reporting functions

- Interface with external agencies, jurisdictional income tax authorities, third party tax specialists, regulatory bodies, or industry forums

Required Qualifications:

- 15+ years of Finance experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

- Extremely strong and relevant Corporate & Indirect Tax experience in a management and leadership capacity

Desired Qualifications:

- Significant leadership experience of managing the Direct & Indirect Tax compliance as well as SEZ and Customs related compliances. Exposure to US, EMEA and APAC tax compliance is desirable.

- Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Experience with US GAAP Accounting for Income Taxes

- Banking and financial services income tax experience

- Experience in dealing with internal control standards and experience in leading a team or developing strategies to adhere to internal control standards.
