Telecom Project Manager

• Pole Load Analysis: Perform detailed pole load analysis to assess structural stability and compliance with regional standards. Utilize industry-standard tools and software to analyze wind, ice, and load-bearing capacities.
• Project Expertise: Provide expert guidance on pole-related challenges in FTTx projects across North American and Canadian networks. Ensure alignment with the standards and requirements of major network operators.
• Design and Engineering Support: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to validate pole placement, load distribution, and structural capacity. Assist in creating Low-Level Design (LLD) and High-Level Design (HLD) documents where applicable.
• Fielding Experience: Leverage field experience to provide practical insights into pole placement, attachments, and construction feasibility. Conduct field assessments to validate data accuracy and inform design updates.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to NESC (National Electrical Safety Code), CSA, and other relevant telecommunication pole standards. Stay updated on regional policies and guidelines impacting pole design and analysis.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, including network operators and permitting authorities. Provide technical presentations and insights to clients and stakeholders as needed.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control processes for pole load analysis outputs. Participate in internal and external audits to maintain high standards of deliverables.
• Program Management.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 7 to 12 years of professional experience in Telecommunication FTTx projects, with a focus on Aerial Design and Pole Load Analysis.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of North American and Canadian telecommunication network standards.
• Proficiency in pole load analysis tools such as O-Calc Pro, SPIDAcalc, or equivalent.
• Field Experience:
• Hands-on fielding experience in pole network assessment and data collection (preferred).
• Familiarity with tools like GPS devices, lidar, and field data collection software.
• Experience with Offshore Teams: Experience working with offshore teams for project collaboration and delivery (preferred).
• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications in pole load analysis or telecommunication engineering are a plus.
