Job Description

The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of HR best practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, conducting interviews, and making job offers.
    • Ensure smooth onboarding for new employees, including document collection, orientation, and integration into the company culture.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Act as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies and procedures.
    • Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and ensuring fair treatment for all employees.
    • Support managers in maintaining a productive and harmonious workplace.
  • Performance Management:
    • Assist in the development and implementation of performance management programs.
    • Support managers in conducting performance reviews and provide guidance on employee development and improvement plans.
    • Help monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of performance management systems.
  • Compliance & Policy Administration:
    • Ensure company policies and procedures are in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
    • Update and maintain employee handbooks and HR documentation.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Compensation and Benefits Administration:
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, leave policies, and other employee perks.
    • Assist with payroll administration, ensuring all compensation-related data is accurate and processed on time.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention:
    • Support employee engagement initiatives, helping to improve morale, job satisfaction, and employee retention.
    • Organize employee wellness programs, events, and recognition initiatives to foster a positive work culture.
  • Training & Development:
    • Coordinate employee training programs and professional development opportunities.
    • Support leadership development and help identify training needs across the organization.
  • HR Reporting & Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
    • Prepare and analyze HR reports, including turnover, headcount, and employee satisfaction surveys.
    • Assist with the preparation of HR-related presentations and meetings.


Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in [industry type, e.g., retail, manufacturing, etc.].
    • Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and HRIS systems.
  • Skills Required:
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • Knowledge of HR software and systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, or similar HRIS platforms).
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive mindset.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Positive attitude with a focus on building strong relationships at all levels of the organization.


Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience in managing HR functions in a fast-paced or growing organization.
