The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading sales efforts in the solar water pump segment within a designated region. This individual will work directly with suppliers who participate in the PM KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) scheme, as well as engage in tendering processes related to solar water pumps. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in solar water pump sales, as well as a solid understanding of tendering procedures.
Sales Leadership: Drive regional sales for solar water pumps, focusing on the PM KUSUM scheme suppliers and other relevant stakeholders.
Business Development: Identify new opportunities and expand the customer base in the assigned region. Build strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, contractors, and other key partners.
Tendering & Bidding: Manage and oversee the tendering process for solar water pumps, including preparing proposals, ensuring compliance with specifications, and submitting competitive bids for government and private sector projects.
Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, providing excellent customer service and support throughout the sales cycle.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer preferences to provide actionable insights for product positioning, pricing strategies, and overall sales initiatives.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the marketing, product development, and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are met, and sales objectives are achieved.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activity. Create accurate sales forecasts and develop strategic plans to achieve regional targets.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in sales within the water pump or solar water pump industry, with at least 3 years of experience in working with suppliers in the PM KUSUM scheme.
Tendering Expertise: Strong understanding of tendering and bidding processes for government schemes, particularly in the solar water pump industry.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the solar water pump market, including technical specifications, installation, and service requirements.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Leadership Skills:
Ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple priorities, and drive sales growth in the region.
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Travel: Willingness to travel within the region as required.
