Key skills for the job
1. Inventory Management: Manage the storage and inventory of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of inventory levels.
2. Receipt and Inspection: Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring that they meet quality and quantity standards.
3. Storage and Issuance: Store materials in a safe and organized manner, and issue them to production as required.
4. Inventory Control: Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, non moving and slow moving, stock reconciliation, and inventory reporting.
5. Material Handling: Oversee the movement of materials within the factory, ensuring that they are handled and stored safely and efficiently.
6. Supplier Management: Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials, and resolve any issues related to quality or quantity.
7. Team Management: Supervise and manage a team of storekeepers, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to perform their duties efficiently.
8. Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, material usage, and storage capacity, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
9. Compliance: Ensure that all storage and inventory management activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
10. Strong knowledge of inventory Management principles and practices
11. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
12. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
13. Proficiency in inventory Management software and MS Office and ERP
