Purchase Head

1. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to ensure the procurement of high-quality raw materials at competitive prices.

2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage a portfolio of suppliers to ensure reliable and timely delivery of goods.

3. Purchase Order Management: Manage the purchase order process, including creation, approval, and tracking of orders.

4. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers, ensuring that all agreements are in the best interest of the company.

5. Inventory Management: Collaborate with the stores head and production and logistics teams to ensure that inventory levels are optimized and that goods are delivered to the production floor in a timely manner.

6. Quality Control: Ensure that all purchased goods meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

7. Cost Control: Analyze and control procurement costs to ensure that they are within budget and aligned with company objectives.

8. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.

9. Skills:

- Strong negotiation and communication skills.

- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

- Experience with procurement software and systems, like ERP OR SAP, if any.

- Knowledge of quality control and assurance principles.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

10. Certifications: CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or ISM (Institute for Supply Management) certification is an advantage.

11. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology.
