Assistant Manager Stores

Job Profiles.

Check the receiving process of materials in stores, ensuring proper stacking and issuance of materials.

Conduct physical verification of incoming materials, prepare material shortage reports, and promptly forward them to the purchase department.

Streamline processes for the disposal of obsolete or surplus materials, optimizing space utilization.

Maintain quality control measures for incoming materials and collaborate with the quality team to address any discrepancies.

Continuously assess and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling, storage, and issuance.

Lead initiatives to digitize and automate inventory tracking systems, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.

Provide regular reports and key performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting areas for improvement and efficiency gains.

Ensure the timely receipt and issuance of packing materials for finished goods.

Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of storage areas.

Conduct regular training sessions for store staff on safety protocols, inventory management procedures, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Accurately document all transactions related to the receipt and issuance of materials.

Conduct periodic material audits in stores for verification purposes and ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements.

Customer.

Effectively resolve vendor queries and disputes, coordinating for timely bill clearances.

Address plant and shop-related consumption issues promptly and efficiently.

Desired Experience.

9 to 12 years of experience in Industrial and automotive company in similar function.

Desired Qualifications.

Graduate or Post Graduate Diploma in Material Management/MBA.

Knowledge & Skills.

Knowledge about the product & process.

Knowledge about quality systems, 5S, FIFO & FEFO, kaizen, etc.

Commercial knowledge.

Awareness of Inventory Management.

Microsoft business center/ SAP.
