Blast Furnace Electrical AGM For Project

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Management:

○ Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Projects: Oversee the planning,

execution, and completion of electrical and instrumentation aspects of the

project.

○ Ensure Timely Delivery: Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and

vendors to ensure timely completion of project milestones.

2. Technical Expertise:

○ Electrical Systems: In-depth knowledge of HT/LT electrical systems including

VCB (Vacuum Circuit Breakers), Transformers, PCC (Power Control Center),

MCC (Motor Control Center), and AC motors and their protection systems.

○ Automation Technologies: Proficiency in automation technologies such as S7

PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and WINCC (SCADA) systems.

○ MV/LV AC VVVF Drives: Expertise in MV/LV AC Variable Voltage Variable

Frequency drives from Siemens/ABB and their application in industrial settings.

○ Instrumentation: Familiarity with instrumentation systems specific to Wire Rod

Mills, including NTM (No Twist Mill) and RSM (Rod Straightening Machine).

3. Project Execution:

○ System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of electrical and

instrumentation systems with overall plant operations.

○ Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance measures to meet industry

standards and project specifications.

○ Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety regulations and practices

throughout project execution.

4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

○ Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians

involved in electrical and instrumentation activities.

○ Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments

(mechanical, civil, procurement) to achieve project objectives and resolve

technical issues.

5. Communication and Reporting:

○ Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project status, risks, and

mitigation plans to stakeholders, including senior management.

○ Progress Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular progress reports, including

Gantt charts and status updates, to project stakeholders.

6. Continuous Improvement:

○ Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process optimization and

efficiency improvements within electrical and instrumentation systems.

○ Training and Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and

development within the team to keep abreast of technological advancements and

best practices.
