Job Description


Position: AGM/GM - Sales
Location: Jodhpur
Company: Vadilal Ice Cream


Role Objective:
To lead the sales team and drive revenue growth for Vadilal Ice Cream in the assigned region by developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, expanding market presence, and fostering strong relationships with distributors and key clients.


Key Responsibilities:


  1. Sales Leadership:
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional targets for revenue, market share, and profitability.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing actionable insights to the team.
  2. Team Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve individual and team objectives.
    • Conduct regular training and performance reviews to enhance team capabilities.
  3. Distribution Network Development:
    • Strengthen and expand the distribution network by onboarding new distributors and maintaining strong relationships with existing ones.
    • Ensure the timely and efficient supply of products to distributors and key accounts.
  4. Market Expansion:
    • Identify new business opportunities and untapped markets to enhance regional sales.
    • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  5. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Address and resolve customer queries and complaints promptly.
  6. Sales Planning & Reporting:
    • Prepare and present monthly/quarterly/annual sales plans and forecasts.
    • Ensure timely reporting of sales performance and market feedback to senior management.

Required Qualifications and Skills:


  • Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred.
  • Experience: 15+ years in sales, with at least 10 years in a leadership role, preferably in the FMCG industry.

  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proven ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
    • Proficient in market analysis and planning.
