Relationship Manager - Corporate and Investment Banking
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Relationship Manager for Corporate and Investment Banking to manage relationships with large and medium corporate clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, delivering customized financial solutions, and ensuring excellent client service while meeting risk and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and manage relationships with existing corporate clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and onboard potential clients from the large and medium corporate segment.
Business Development:
- Drive revenue growth by cross-selling corporate and investment banking products such as loans, trade finance, treasury, and structured products.
- Collaborate with product and credit teams to design bespoke financial solutions for clients.
Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the health of the client portfolio by ensuring timely servicing of loans, monitoring credit quality, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular portfolio reviews and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Credit Analysis:
- Work closely with the credit and risk teams to assess the creditworthiness of clients and structure appropriate financial products.
- Prepare and present credit proposals to the credit committee for approval.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to provide insights to clients and identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the organization at industry events and build a strong professional network.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all transactions and client interactions comply with regulatory and organizational guidelines.
- Mitigate risk by conducting due diligence and monitoring clients' financial health.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Corporate or Investment Banking, with a focus on handling large and medium corporate clients.
- Strong knowledge of corporate banking products and financial markets.
- Proven ability to manage large portfolios and drive revenue growth.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth understanding of credit appraisal processes and financial statement analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in using financial and CRM software.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Revenue growth and cross-sell ratio.
- Portfolio quality (e.g., NPA levels, credit health).
- Client retention and satisfaction scores.
- Timeliness and quality of credit proposals.
