Role & responsibilities

As an SEO Specialist with 2-5 years of experience, you will be responsible for implementing and managing SEO strategies to enhance our online presence and improve our search rankings across various platforms. You will collaborate with content creators, developers, and marketing teams to ensure our digital marketing efforts are aligned with the latest SEO trends and best practices. Previous experience working with e-commerce brands will be highly beneficial, as you'll be optimizing product listings, category pages, and conversion funnels to boost online sales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive targeted traffic, with a strong focus on e-commerce platforms.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth, particularly around product categories and long-tail keywords.
  • Optimize on-page SEO for product pages, category pages, and blog content, including metadata, content, headings, and internal linking structures.
  • Work with the content team to create SEO-friendly content that resonates with our target audience and aligns with e-commerce goals.
  • Perform technical SEO audits and resolve on-site issues such as site speed, mobile responsiveness, crawlability, and indexation, specifically tailored to e-commerce websites.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar platforms.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and best practices, particularly in the e-commerce sector.
  • Manage and implement backlink strategies to improve domain authority and organic reach.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, content, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across all digital platforms.
  • Track and report on KPIs, including organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversions, and overall e-commerce sales performance.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of proven experience in SEO, with a solid understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, and at least 1-2 years working with e-commerce brands.
  • Strong proficiency in SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors, particularly for e-commerce websites.
  • Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, Magento, or similar e-commerce platforms.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and website structure optimization.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights to improve e-commerce SEO performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of content marketing and its integration with SEO strategies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in local SEO and international SEO.
  • Familiarity with product feed optimization and e-commerce SEO strategies.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and understanding user behavior.
  • SEO certification or other professional development in SEO is a plus.
