Student Counsellor

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Guidance & Counseling

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling sessions to support students with academic, personal, emotional, and career concerns.
• Offer guidance on course selection, academic performance, and career pathways.
• Identify students facing difficulties and provide appropriate interventions.

2. Psychological & Emotional Support

• Assist students in dealing with stress, anxiety, peer pressure, and personal issues.
• Conduct workshops and awareness programs on mental health, stress management, and emotional resilience.
• Refer students to external professionals if specialized help is needed.

3. Career & Academic Support

• Advise students on higher education opportunities, scholarships, and career planning.
• Provide training on soft skills, time management, and study techniques.
• Collaborate with faculty and academic advisors to enhance student success.

4. Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and student progress.
• Develop and implement counseling programs tailored to student needs.
• Prepare reports and provide feedback to management on student concerns and trends.

5. Parental & Faculty Engagement

• Work closely with parents and teachers to ensure a supportive learning environment.
• Organize parent-teacher meetings and counseling sessions when necessary.
• Conduct workshops for faculty on student mental health awareness.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
• Certification in counseling (preferred).
• Experience in student counseling, academic advising, or a similar role (1-3 years preferred).
