Manager F&A

This role is for our plant based in Rourkela, Odisha, "Adhunik Metalliks Limited"

Role & responsibilities

1. Costing & Budgeting

• Prepare, monitor, and control budgets, ensuring cost efficiency in plant operations.
• Conduct cost analysis for raw materials, spares, labor, and production processes to optimize expenses.
• Perform budget vs actual variance analysis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Develop and implement cost control measures by working closely with operations and procurement teams.
• Oversee Capex planning and control, ensuring optimal capital expenditure allocation.
• Analyze and improve tolling business/JV financial structures, ensuring profitability.
• Lead financial forecasting and scenario planning to enhance cost optimization strategies.

2. Financial Management & Reporting

• Oversee financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations.
• Prepare Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual financial reports and MIS (daily, weekly, monthly).
• Ensure accurate financial statements, P&L accounts, and cash flow management.
• Manage plant working capital, ensuring optimal inventory and liquidity management.
• Define and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial processes to strengthen internal controls.

3. Compliance, Taxation & Audit

• Ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for financial and process audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IND-AS, IFRS) and corporate policies.
• Maintain relationships with banks and financial institutions for fund management and credit facilities.
• Handle vendor payments, contract compliance, and regulatory filings.

4. Strategic Finance & Business Support

• Work closely with senior management and operations teams to drive financial decision-making.
• Provide financial insights to optimize procurement, production efficiency, and cost savings.
• Conduct financial risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support investment decisions through financial modeling and business case evaluations.

Engage in long-term business planning and strategic growth initiatives for plant operations.

Educational Background and Work Experience

• CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in finance & accounts, preferably in a steel plant or any manufacturing industry.
• Expertise in costing, budgeting, financial planning, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Tally, SAP/ERP systems, financial modeling, and data analytics.
