Overview:
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) Manager / Controllership is responsible for overseeing the financial planning, business performance reviews, and analysis within the organization. The role involves managing working capital, corporate taxation, statutory audits, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. This position plays a crucial role in providing financial insight, business partnering, and overseeing key financial processes like budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Controllership/FPA:
- Lead financial planning, business performance reviews, and analysis to ensure business targets are met.
- Manage working capital effectively, ensuring smooth cash flow operations.
- Oversee corporate taxation and statutory audits to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
Financial Reporting:
- Present monthly financial budgets, reports, profit loss analysis, and cash flow statements.
- Supervise and review financial reporting and tax filings to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Ensure that the preparation of books and accounts is accurate, leading to the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
Financial Analysis and Business Insight:
- Provide financial insight to support planning and budgeting through financial modeling and analysis.
- Track business performance by evaluating tactical decisions and highlight any issues or areas of concern.
- Establish control and feedback mechanisms on costs, guiding departments to take corrective actions when deviations occur from budgeted numbers.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Ensure accurate forecasting of cash inflow and outflow, comparing forecasts with actual figures.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual volume and value forecasts for all products to maintain correct inventory levels at CFA and distributor warehouses.
- Drive monthly and quarterly performance tracking, ensuring targets are achieved and sales teams are meeting KPIs.
Efficiency Improvements:
- Develop strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs across business functions.
- Establish mechanisms for continuous monitoring of operational costs and ensure compliance with cost-related controls.
Taxation and Audits:
- Ensure corporate taxation compliance with all relevant tax laws.
- Coordinate statutory and tax audits, ensuring all necessary documents and reports are submitted accurately and on time.
Management Reporting:
- Provide various MIS (Management Information System) reports to senior management, presenting financial insights and analysis.
- Ensure smooth month-end closure of accounts with high-level reporting of actual results to management.
What We Are Looking for:
- A qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, or MBA (Finance) with 8-10 years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent functional knowledge of accounting systems, processes, fund flow management, statutory compliance, taxation, and MIS reporting.
- Experience in the implementation or operation of standard costing systems or integrated management accounting systems (Preferred: Microsoft Business Central MD365).
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence departments and drive high-performance cultures.
Roles and Responsibilities (Sales Growth and Team Leadership):
- GTM Strategy Execution: Plan and execute go-to-market (GTM) strategies to drive sales growth across India.
- Sales Targets: Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, ensuring that the field team meets incentives based on business KPIs.
- Forecasting and Inventory Management: Ensure accurate forecasting for volume and value, ensuring that CFA and distributor stock-on-hand (SOH) and fill rates are maintained according to established norms.
This role requires a candidate who thrives in a performance-driven, entrepreneurial environment, with a deep understanding of financial management, strategic growth planning, and strong leadership capabilities to foster a culture of high performance.
