Accounts Executive

Position: Accounts Executive (Lights Manufacturing)
Location: Sec-155, Greater Noida
Experience: 3-5 years

Job Overview:

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and preparing financial reports. They will work closely with the accounting team to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process and manage accounts payable (invoices, bills) and accounts receivable (payments from clients/customers).
• Ensure timely payments and receipts, following up on overdue accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and balances.
2. Bank Reconciliation:
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and accounting records.
• Resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.
3. Invoicing and Billing:
• Generate and issue invoices to customers or clients, ensuring accuracy in amounts, terms, and dates.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely payment.
4. Bookkeeping and Data Entry:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting software.
• Record and categorize financial transactions such as purchases, sales, and expenses.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records for easy retrieval.
5. Expense Management:
• Review and record employee expenses, ensuring they are properly documented and in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in preparing expense reports for review by management.
6. Financial Reporting Support:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Help in generating financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements.
7. Compliance and Audit:
• Ensure that financial transactions comply with relevant accounting standards, laws, and company policies.
• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information as required.
8. VAT/GST Filing (if applicable):
• Assist in the preparation and filing of VAT/GST returns.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission to avoid penalties or interest.
9. Customer and Vendor Communication:
• Handle inquiries related to accounts from customers, suppliers, and vendors.
• Coordinate with other departments for smooth flow of accounting processes.
10. General Administrative Support:
• Provide administrative support to the finance and accounting team as needed.
• Perform any additional tasks as assigned by senior finance staff.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role or similar capacity.
• Skills:
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Other: Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of tax regulations (VAT/GST) and financial reporting standards.
• Prior experience in handling accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and expense management.
