Mechanical Designer

Position: Mechanical Designer (LED Lighting)
Location: Sec-155, Greater Noida
Experience: 4-7 years

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Designer to join our team in the lighting industry. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical design, working with product development teams to create functional, manufacturable, and high-performance lighting solutions. This role involves designing mechanical components, ensuring product durability, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency, while working closely with engineers and designers to bring lighting products from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

Research and analyse market trends, product usability, and customer needs

Sketch initial design ideas and use computer-aided design (CAD) & Solid works software to create detailed design specifications

Use SolidWorks software to design products and components

Modify and refine designs using working models

Collaborate with engineers, model makers, sales staff, and manufacturing professionals on product development

Should have sound knowledge of materials, Machines or Tools for Fixture designing & die development

Evaluate product safety, appearance, and function to determine if a design is practical

Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budget constraints

Good knowledge of Extrusion & formations

Should have knowledge of technical documentation for design file creation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 3-5 years) in mechanical design, preferably within the lighting or product development industry.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.).
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes (injection molding, die-casting, CNC machining, etc.).
• Knowledge of heat dissipation, thermal management, and mechanical performance in lighting products.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex mechanical design challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to lighting products.
• Experience in the lighting industry or with electronic consumer products.
• Knowledge of LED technologies, optical design considerations, and integration with mechanical components.
• Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools for stress and thermal analysis.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices and eco-friendly manufacturing processes.
• Ability to use simulation tools and conduct design validation testing.
