Chatbot Engineer

We are looking for a Chatbot Engineer who will be responsible for building, testing, and improving chatbots in an enterprise environment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of chatbot development, API integrations, and quality assurance processes to ensure a seamless user experience. The role requires both development and testing expertise, with a focus on delivering high-quality chatbot solutions.

Responsibilities

Chatbot Development:

• Build and design conversational AI chatbots using the Leena AI platform.
• Create and optimize chatbot responses by structuring conversational data from enterprise knowledge bases.
• Understand business logic and translate it into effective conversational workflows.
• Integrate chatbots with various platforms like Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other communication channels.
• Implement and test REST API integrations for seamless communication between the chatbot and external systems.
• Continuously analyze and enhance chatbot interactions based on user behavior and feedback.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Quality Assurance

• Design and execute testing strategies to validate chatbot capabilities, including NLP accuracy and workflow correctness.
• Create and execute test cases based on business requirement documents (BRD) and software requirement specifications (SRS).
• Test API integrations using tools like Postman to ensure smooth connectivity and data exchange.
• Identify UI/UX inconsistencies and suggest improvements to enhance the chatbot user experience.
• Investigate production issues, analyze root causes, and propose solutions for bug fixes and improvements.
• Ensure the chatbot meets functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Document test results, track issues in JIRA, and collaborate with developers for fixes and enhancements.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong logical thinking, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in chatbot development using platforms like Dialogflow, Microsoft Bot Framework, RASA, or similar.
• Driving operational efficiency by writing basic scripts (Python, JS) to automate day-to-day work.
• Hands-on experience in testing chatbot interactions and evaluating NLP capabilities.
• Knowledge of REST API integration, debugging, and API testing using tools like Postman.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and JIRA for documentation and tracking.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database querying (not mandatory but a plus).
• Understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) fundamentals.
• Experience in deploying bots on diverse communication channels such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, and other platforms is highly desirable and will be considered a valuable asset.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of Natural Language processing is a plus Out-of-the-box thinking.
• Required to work in the US shift as part of their job responsibilities, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely support with our global teams and clients.
