Job Description

JOB OBJECTIVE:

To ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time, and that the payroll process is compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership and Management:

- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure efficient and compliant payroll operations.

- Lead and manage the payroll team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Budgeting and Financial Planning:


- Assist in budgeting and financial planning related to payroll costs.

- Monitor and control payroll expenses to ensure alignment with the organization's financial goals.

Payroll Processing:

- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, including regular, bonus, and special payrolls.

- Ensure proper calculation of wages, salaries, overtime, and deductions.

Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to company and procedures.

Systems and Technology:

- Manage and maintain payroll systems, ensuring they are efficient, reliable, and secure.

- Work with IT and other departments to implement system upgrades and improvements.

Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, including labor costs, taxes, and other relevant metrics.

- Maintain accurate and organized payroll records and documentation.

Audit and Reconciliation:

- Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Employee Relations:

- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees.

- Provide support and education to employees regarding payroll policies and procedures
