Senior System Administrator - Linux Server (7-12 yrs)

Title : System Administrator

Experience : 7-12 Years (Linux and Azure experience are important).

Shift Timings : 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM

Work Location : Work from home

Notice period : Immediate joiner / Candidate with 15 day or less preferred.

Job Description :

The ideal candidate will bring their experience and skill to support in the maintenance and growth of an existing hybrid infrastructure stack while assisting in modernization and upgrade projects to improve stability, security, and performance of our business systems.

Responsibilities :

- Maintenance and monitoring of technical infrastructure components, including physical hardware, cloud infrastructure and network security infrastructure

- Performing, testing, and maintaining system backups

- Performing system updates and patches with minimal downtime

- Deployment of new solutions and infrastructure components

- Analyzing, troubleshooting, and correcting system hardware, software, network problems, communicating and coordinating with other technical teams

- Performing Internal Vulnerability assessments of infrastructure, and supporting remediation efforts

- Supporting in the deployment and management of server side software stacks used to support business software systems (operating systems, web servers, databases)

- Responding to and supporting Internal IT teams with incident response, troubleshooting and resolving reported issues

- Design and complete disaster recovery testing projects

- Identify and implement security improvements to infrastructure components

Required Skills :

- Extensive knowledge and experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux based servers in enterprise environments (primarily in RedHat distribution lineage)

- Proficient with various web server implementations and their configurations, including Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, Nginx, or others

- Strong understanding of enterprise network components used to support web based application stacks

- Experience securing systems based on hardening standards and security best practices

- Familiarity with MySQL and MongoDB (NoSQL) database systems
