WebSphere Application Server Engineer (4-8 yrs)

Job Description :

- Experience and hand on various Application infrastructure tools such as IBM WebSphere Application Server, Red hat Jboss EAP, Apache tomcat, IBM WAS Liberty profiles, Windows platforms IIS, IBM MQ, IBM ACE.

- Programming experience in languages like Python, Jython, Ansible, Terraform

- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure

- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Dynatrace, Webex BOT, Splunk

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Maintain and monitor WebSphere application servers, middleware servers, databases, and applications

- Manage application performance and availability, including capacity planning, capacity tuning, and load testing

- Configure, maintain, and monitor WebSphere application servers, middleware servers, databases, and applications

- Manage operating system and network security, and backup and recovery procedures

- Perform system administration, including routine server maintenance, operating system maintenance, and patch management

- Conduct hardware upgrades, such as purchasing new servers, upgrading memory, and replacing storage devices

- Perform system administration tasks

- Maintain and update test environments to meet business requirements

- Ensure compliance with application, operating system, and data security requirements
