Roles & Responsibilities:
- Organizes, directs, and controls the Internal Audit and their works
- Develops & Implements risk based audit framework as well as enterprise risk management.
- Prepares strategic audit plans.
- Reviews existing as well as new projects, services and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory authority.
- Suggests policy and procedure changes or review as appropriate
- Reviews and evaluates corrective measures for satisfaction of audit findings as well as monitors adequacy of corrective procedures.
- Plans and supervises auditing programs.
- Develops risk-rating system for departments
- Prepares comprehensive audit checklists.
- Good in depth knowledge of various kinds of risk, such as Business, Regulatory, Financial, Environmental, Geographical, etc.
- Supervise Branch visits by team to verify the quality, quantity and inventory of pledged gold and cash.
- Check authenticity of transactions and adherence to systems and procedures by scrutinizing the transactions put through the relevant inspection period including handling ornaments
- To verify the records and registers and ascertain lapses/discrepancy in maintenance of such records
- To verify that all statutory requirements are fulfilled at branch and all necessary certificates, licenses and notices are put in place
- To verify whether there is any lapses in security and safety of the branch and assets
- To verify that all the staff members are strictly following the code and conduct rules and their behavior and attitude are in line with company values and guidelines
- To verify the earlier inspection report and its compliance/closure
- Continuous market awareness, the concerned risk factors to be studied in detail and alerted in order to avert possible losses
- To report any discrepancies without favor, not leaving out even seemingly minor irregularities as they may lead to serious irregularity in future
- Ensures final reports are issued with all recommendations agreed and accepted by the audited individual/group
- Performs and carries out duties as directed by the direct manager.
