Head - Modern Trade
Our client is a high growth mid size, one of the most exciting consumer startup. They are currently looking to hire a Head of Modern Trade.
Role:
Sales Target & Coordination:
- Create and review monthly sales targets (by geo, account, and product) in consultation with the sales team and BH, discuss them with cluster heads, and align on "focus models" and sales expectations.
- Ensure smooth material movement from DC to stores by working with Cluster Heads.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Track and cross-check weekly store-wise reports to ensure that the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is maintained.
- If MOQ is not met, promptly inform relevant stakeholders (Cluster Manager and Noise Sale in KAM) for resolution.
Client Management & Sales Cycle:
- Qualify client needs, plan actions, and take responsibility for the entire sales cycle, including presentations, negotiations, contracting, and client service.
- Form multi-level relationships within target companies to optimize sales outcomes.
Revenue & Profitability:
- Manage local and regional sales campaigns, promotions, and overall revenue for assigned states.
- Focus on cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and ensure documentation and customer retention through profitability analysis.
Skills & Experience:
- The ideal candidate should have 8-15 years of experience in a product-based company, excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills, and a data-driven, target-oriented approach with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
