Job Description
- Monitor and investigate financial transactions to detect and prevent money laundering and financial fraud activities
- Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and standards
- Analyze customer and account data for unusual patterns, red flags, or suspicious activities
- Conduct due diligence, including customer verification and enhanced due diligence for high-risk accounts
- Prepare and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to regulatory authorities within required timelines
- Develop and implement AML policies, procedures, and training programs for staff
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, for investigations and audits
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all investigations and compliance activities
- Perform risk assessments and recommend process improvements to strengthen AML controls
- Stay informed about emerging risks, technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure proactive AML compliance
