Position Title: Planning Engineer

Location: Construction Site Jamui, Bihar / Siwan, Bihar / Jalgaon, Maharashtra

Reporting To: Project Manager / Senior Planning Manager

Experience Required: Minimum 10+ years in construction planning, with significant experience in hospital or healthcare facility projects

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Scheduling:

• Develop detailed project schedules using software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
• Plan and allocate resources (manpower, materials, and equipment) based on project requirements and timelines.
• Monitor and update project schedules to reflect actual progress and identify potential delays.

2. Coordination and Communication:

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.
• Conduct regular meetings with the site team to review progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Report project progress and challenges to the Project Manager and senior management.

3. Progress Monitoring and Reporting:

• Track project activities against the baseline schedule and prepare weekly/monthly progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections to verify actual progress and compare it to planned progress.
• Identify and analyze delays, prepare recovery plans, and recommend corrective actions.

4. Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure the project complies with relevant regulations, codes, and healthcare standards such as NABH, NBC, or JCI.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of schedules, progress reports, and related documentation.
• Assist in preparing project completion reports and handover documentation.

5. Risk Analysis and Mitigation:

• Identify potential risks to the project timeline and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Assess the impact of changes in scope, design, or unforeseen site conditions on the project schedule.

6. Quality and Safety Coordination:

• Ensure that all construction activities adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Coordinate with the quality and safety teams to address any non-compliance issues that may affect the project timeline.

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in project scheduling software like Primavera P6, MS Project, and related tools.
• Strong knowledge of hospital construction requirements, including HVAC, medical gas, and infection control considerations.
• Ability to analyze and resolve scheduling conflicts and delays.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with construction safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or Primavera P6 is an advantage.
• Prior experience with large-scale government or healthcare projects is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience in construction site planning and execution.
