Sr Engineer - Planning

Project Scheduling and Planning

• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Create work breakdown structures (WBS) and establish project timelines.
• Identify project milestones and critical path activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to align schedules with project goals.
• Progress Monitoring and Reporting
  Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly.
• Analyze schedule variances and propose corrective actions.
• Prepare regular progress reports, including S-curves, histograms, and dashboards.
• Resource Allocation and Cost Control
  Allocate resources efficiently and track usage.
• Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure timely availability of resources.
• Monitor project costs against budgets and provide variance analyses.
• Risk Management
  Identify potential scheduling risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Update schedules to reflect changes due to risks, delays, or scope variations.
• Coordination and Communication
  Facilitate communication between project stakeholders to ensure schedule adherence.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule-related insights.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders as required.

• Educational Background:
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling for construction projects.
• Proven experience with Primavera P6 is mandatory.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Primavera P6, MS Project, and related scheduling tools.
• Solid understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
• Familiarity with project management principles (e.g., earned value management).
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
