Key Responsibilities:
- This role is for managing Risk management department (RMD) which conducts various independent audits and quality control activities of various process which carries financial, regulatory and operational risks within the Operations department of Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance company. RMD team conducts quality checks of all the pay-outs processed by the Operations team which includes Maturity pay-outs, surrender pay-outs, death claim pay-outs.
- RMD team also handles various external audits namely Internal audit of various operational processes and statutory audit coordination. This team is also involved in the implementation of new regulations/circulars issued by IRDAI along with new system development & new product launch at the operations level.
- This role will give exposure of various life insurance processes like new customer on-boarding, policy servicing, underwriting, commission pay-out processing, group business, death claim processing, etc. This role will also include handling a team of approximately 10 members.
- Managing the activities of RMD team, to ensure that their activities are conducted on time and in accordance with the process laid down in Standard Operating procedure and ensuring the issues identified are mitigated end-to-end
- Identifying new risk areas and developing control reports to mitigate the risks identified in co-ordination with the user teams
- Conducting various audits for plugging loopholes in different processes at user-end to mitigate the risk of future operation losses/risk arising out of process gaps.
- Handling Internal auditors to ensure that audits are conducted in a smooth manner.
- Ensuring that the requirements (Defined and adhoc) sought by senior management are duly provided within time.
Education:- CA
Work experience in years: 1 to 12 years
Skills / experience required: Candidate must have experience in conducting and handling internal audit independently.
