Role & responsibilities

• Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Securely handle payments, including cash, credit, debit, and other payment methods.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required.
• Greet customers warmly and assist with inquiries regarding products, pricing, or promotions.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly or escalate complex issues to management.
• Maintain and balance the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift.
• Perform daily cash reconciliations and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
• Accurately apply discounts, promotions, and loyalty program benefits.
• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to prevent fraud and ensure accurate record-keeping.
