Procurement Manager

Role & responsibilities :

Industry: Power Transmission/ Substation/ Solar

To assess new suppliers in China and create & maintain vendor database in China for items (various material, equipment, consumables) BOIs required for Transmission Line (TL), Sub-station, EHV Cables and Solar Power Plants.

To provide compliant techno commercial offers for various items to tender & procurement department in a timely manner.

To coordinate for technical & commercial closure, obtain competitive offers and explore the possibility of pre-bid agreements wherever possible.

To negotiate and obtain competitive offer at order stage to improve the margin with respect to tender estimate.

To assist HO team in procurement BOIs for all types projects in the most cost effective manner and satisfying project requirement on timely basis.

To continuously follow up with suppliers to ensure that the material dispatch in time to meet Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets are met.

To coordinate for inspection and despatches for the items being sourced from China

Timely escalation to the management in case of any deviation in supply schedule by the vendor.

Ensure timely availability of shipping documents/ BGs other relevant documents for claiming export benefits for project.

Follow-up to resolve issues related to Vendors such as payment, approvals and dDeliveries

To evaluate the vendors periodically and provide feedback in consultation with HOD.

• B.E. (Mechanical/ Electrical)- Essential, MBA- Desirable
• Experience: 10 to 15 years
• Location: China (Shanghai)
